New Moon Cacao Ceremony - Friday July 29

(Registration information below.)  New moons are perfect times for the heart-opening effects of cacao. Gathering together to drink cacao can create healing, connection and inspiration. Engaging with cacao as a ritual, rather than consuming it as chocolate candy or a commodity, has direct positive impact on our individual well-being as well as our global ecosystem.

This cacao ceremony celebrates the Cancer new moon.  This is the best time to set intentions on self-care, nurturing, belonging, family, home, hearth, and security.   We will work intentions to draw in emotional courage and acknowledge our vulnerability. This can result in positive changes to fertility, healing ancestral patterns, and financial security.

​Within the cacao ceremony, Andrea holds space for attendees to experience drinking cacao to connect with each other in new ways, and the ceremony is an opportunity to reconnect with ancient parts of ourselves that remember the simple power of gathering together in community.

​All ceremonies begin with a cacao blessing, and give you a chance to learn about the cacao you are drinking, and how it was prepared. The ceremonial cacao that one drinks in a ceremony was sourced, made, and prepared with love and intention. We currently source our cacao from Embue Cacao. Their cacao all comes from Guatemala, whose climate and soils grow some of the best cacao. Embue goes "beyond fair trade" and works exclusively with "one family farm that is paid premium prices for their product and that uses natural growing practices."

​In ceremony, Andrea will guide the group through various exercises and experiences based on the intentions of the event. Some examples of guided experiences are: guided meditations, journaling, sound journeys, use of oracle cards, reiki healing, dance and movement practices, and partner exercises.
