New Moon Cacao Ceremony - October 14th

This cacao ceremony celebrates the Libra new moon.  This is the best time to set intentions surrounding yourself, your identify, and your personal ambitions.  We will work ways to reestablish balance that has been lost, and finding a  peaceful neutral point from which clarity, common sense, and cooperation come from.

We are honored to introduce our special guest, Karina Xochiquetzal Almaraz. Her enchanting voice and music will enhance our cacao ceremony. Through years of travel and mentorship with various healers, Karina is excited to share her deep knowledge. Guided by spirit, she weaves the medicine of song with her intuition and ancestral wisdom, leading us on a profound journey.

New moons are perfect times for the heart-opening effects of cacao. Gathering together to drink cacao can create healing, connection and inspiration. Engaging with cacao as a ritual, rather than consuming it as chocolate candy or a commodity, has direct positive impact on our individual well-being as well as our global ecosystem.  ​

Within the cacao ceremony, Andrea holds space for attendees to experience drinking cacao to connect with each other in new ways, and the ceremony is an opportunity to reconnect with ancient parts of ourselves that remember the simple power of gathering together in community.  ​All ceremonies begin with a cacao blessing, and give you a chance to learn about the cacao you are drinking, and how it was prepared. 

The ceremonial cacao that one drinks in a ceremony was sourced, made, and prepared with love and intention from growing to processing.  This year, I'm exploring a few different cacao sourced from family farms in Central and South America.  I will let you know about which cacao I chose for the ceremony during our time together.  ​

In ceremony, Andrea will guide the group through various exercises and experiences based on the intentions of the event. Some examples of guided experiences are: guided meditations, journaling, sound journeys, use of oracle cards, reiki healing, dance and movement practices, and partner exercises.
