Adhara is a bright star in the Northern Hemisphere constellation Canis Major.  It is a binary star, shining with some visible light, but it is the brightest source of ultraviolet light when seen from Earth's sky.  Symbolically, Adhara is the star which can connect our violet crown chakra to the universe. At the same time, adhara is a Sanskrit word meaning "base" or "foundation," and is a component of word for the root chakra, Muladhara. Adhara is symbolically a connection to both earth and sky, grounding and spirit.

Adhara Alchemy offers a variety of services in the Chicagoland area. I offer intuitive healing, meditation services and classes, reiki for humans and animals, and cacao ceremonies. Intuitive healing incorporates a variety of healing modalities including shamanic practices. Mediation guidance is available one-on-one or in a group setting. Reiki can be performed in person or at a distance.  Cacao ceremonies can be held for groups of 6 to 25 people.

Andrea also offers cacao ceremonies as a part of a deeper meditative practice that includes song, sound, and deep connection to the earth and to our hearts.  She studied with Mayan elders from present-day Guatemala and Honduras to learn about cacao medicine. Andrea has also studied Andrea has practiced meditation for over 25 years, and is a certified Meditation Teacher through the Priority Academy and the Complementary Therapists Accredited Association. Andrea is a Usui Ryoho Reiki practitioner at the Master-Teacher Shinpiden level, with a specialization in animal reiki services.
